Chile: do South Africans need a visa?
South Africans don't need a visa for Chile. You can stay up to 90 days per visit, and you can apply to extend.
Visa-free per the GSA ('No visas are required by South African passport holders for a stay of 90 days for tourism, business or to attend a conference') and Wikipedia's SA requirements table. Chile's own nationality-by-nationality answer (consulado.gob.cl selector) could not be read automatically.53

Vaccinations, including yellow fever on return to South Africa
Chile: no yellow fever certificate requirement and no vaccination recommendation (WHO). South Africa's own rule on return: Chile is NOT on South Africa's yellow fever risk list, so no certificate is needed when flying straight home. You do need one if you transit more than 12 hours in, or travel via, a risk country (for example Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina or Paraguay).67
