Visa requirement

South Africans need to apply online for an e-visa before travel to Kyrgyzstan.

You can stay up to 30 days per visit, and you can apply to extend.

Purpose of visit
Tourist e-visa for short tourism stays; other categories via portal or Kyrgyz missions.
Passport validity
At least 6 months beyond the visa period, minimum 2 blank pages.
How to apply
Online at evisa.e-gov.kg (Kyrgyz government e-visa portal): separate application per traveller including infants; card payment; fee non-refundable (amount shown after selecting nationality; not captured). Expedited review option. E-visa holders must enter via Manas or Osh airports or listed land crossings (per Wikipedia).
Where South Africans apply
Online. No Kyrgyz mission in South Africa identified; traditional visas via a Kyrgyz diplomatic mission abroad.
Travelling with children
Children and infants need their own e-visa application.
