Visa requirement

South Africans need to apply online for an e-visa before travel to Mongolia.

You can stay up to 30 days per visit.

• Passport validity

  At least 180 days from travel.

• How to apply

  Online at evisa.mn (official Immigration Agency of Mongolia portal): apply, pay by card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UnionPay, JCB, WeChat Pay), receive eVisa; carry a copy on arrival; fee non-refundable (amount not shown, site under maintenance notice). • Extending your stay and overstaying

  Registration with the Immigration Agency of Mongolia required within 7 days of arrival (per eVisa terms).
