Visa requirement
South Africans don't need a visa for Saint Lucia.
Permitted stay
You can stay up to 42 days per visit, and you can apply to extend.
Before you go
- How to apply
No visa application. Complete the online pre-arrival form at travelslu.govt.lc no more than 72 hours before travel (one per family or group); show the emailed receipt or QR code on arrival.
- Vaccinations, including yellow fever on return to South Africa
Destination rule: a yellow fever certificate is needed only if you arrive from a country with yellow fever transmission risk; South Africa is not a risk country. Return to South Africa: this country is not a yellow fever risk country, so no certificate is needed on return, unless you transited through a risk country (for example via Panama or South America) on the way.
- Arrival forms
Online pre-arrival form at travelslu.govt.lc, within 72 hours before travel.
- Extending your stay and overstaying
Extensions at the Immigration Department, Castries.
- Confirm with the embassy
