Restricted. A visa is required and must be approved from inside Yemen. The Yemeni Embassy in the Netherlands says entry visa requests are on hold, except for foreigners of Yemeni origin, staff of international organisations, journalists and media, and diplomats. Ordinary tourist visas are not being issued, apart from a limited e-visa for organised tour groups.12

How to apply

Approval comes from Yemen's Immigration, Passports and Nationality Authority. Embassy applications need an invitation from that authority, a host letter, a purpose statement, a form, a photo and a medical fitness certificate for infectious diseases. The Netherlands embassy charges EUR 50 and takes about 2 weeks. An e-visa portal (yemenevisa.org, run by the Immigration, Passports and Nationality Authority) launched on 24 June 2025; reported eligibility is limited, and the visa is collected from an embassy or consulate.245
