Azerbaijan: do South Africans need a visa?

South Africans need to apply online for an e-visa before travel to Azerbaijan. You can stay up to 30 days per visit.

How to apply

Apply only at the official ASAN Visa portal evisa.gov.az. Standard processing within 3 working days; urgent within 3 hours. Print the e-visa and show it at the border. Fees reported as USD 25 standard and USD 60 urgent, each including a USD 5 service fee (fee not seen on an official page this check).1 3 4

Azerbaijan publishes no yellow fever rule for South Africans. Azerbaijan is not a yellow fever risk country, so no certificate is needed to return to South Africa from Azerbaijan, unless you transited a risk country.
